	 a.k.a. the Hamburger Community '26\nThe House Remembers\na one-day only i
mmersive sound-installation\n\nNewly imagined ways of listening to histori
es\nAmplified Histories is an experimental session in listening\, hearing
and feeling\nstories from unheard voices. We invite our visitors to encoun
ter a collection of\nhandmade and speculative audio speakers: everyday obj
ects built to experience\nwhat sound can do when it moves from and through
	 surfaces\, walls\, ceilings but\nalso bodies.\n\nThis tryout is the start
of a research into Keileweg as a spatial history\, a\nplace layered with
questions of industry\, ownership and different types of\nworkers. Aside f
rom narrating these histories\, we want to transmit them: through\nvibrati
on and through the way sound travels differently depending on what it\npas
ses through.\n\nWe're interested in what happens when listening turns with
in: when you stop\nhearing a history from a distance and start feeling it
move through you by\nunsung heroes. Be prepared to be curious\, to stand s
till\, to press your ear\nagainst something unheard.\n\nWhy this\, why her
e?\nKeileweg is our starting point. Roodkapje sits on a strip of Rotterdam
with a\ndense and contested past. The exciter is a useful metaphor: it do
esn't project\nsound outward into empty air\, it conducts it through whate
ver surface it\ntouches\, making the object itself speak.\nWe're asking: w
hat does it mean for a place to carry its own history? What\nsurfaces hold
it and what gets lost in transmission? This tryout is a rehearsal\,\na wa
y of testing the speakers and the questions before a larger public\nHappen
ing.\n\nThe Hamburger Community 2026 is a group of artists\, cultural work
ers\, musicians\n— with shared suspicions of permanence\, and in search of
it\, still. Their\npractices are analog by default: handed over in person
\, experienced live\,\nhalf-baked and still warm. For them\, telling stori
es is the oldest form of\ncommunity memory. They treat potlucks as a learn
ing method\, broadcasts as\nentering worlds and textile as a way of holdin
g time.\nTogether they act as a hot pot: each person flavors a body of wat
er with\nknowledge they brought in. Nobody owns the broth. In the upcoming
nine months\,\nexpect collective public takeovers around sound\, flavours
and exchange — and\nwhatever else spills.
