DESCRIPTION:Queer Oriental Rotterdam is a cultural queer gathering and ente
	rtainment event\norganized by Stichting Sirkaf. The event provides a platf
	orm for cultural\nexchange\, featuring music\, dance\, and stage performan
	ces inspired by motifs from\nTürkiye\, Mesopotamia\, and Southwest Asia (i
	n the colonialist terminology the\nMiddle East).\nUnder the name Queer Ori
	ental\, we aim to highlight the existence of queer\ncommunities in Türkiye
	\, Mesopotamia\, and Southwest Asia drawing attention to\ntheir struggle f
	or rights and equality. Additionally\, this event pays homage to\nthe cult
	ure\, entertainment\, and oriental dance traditions of these regions:\nbri
	nging that cultural heritage here and connecting it with the local queer\n
	community.\n\nWe strive to create a safe space where the LGBTQIA+ communit
	y can come together\nto socialize\, enjoy\, and build new friendships and 
	connections. Queer Oriental\nRotterdam is a hetero friendly event.\n\nLook
