Beth Chrisman + Hugo & Biko

Beth Chrisman + Hugo & Biko

for fans of: honkytonk soul, old-time country hearts, being on a high lonesome

For this Friday night special on labor day we honour the workers and the broken hearted with Beth Chrisman, her southing harmonies, Hugo & Biko with their old time americana, free entrance and a variety of special beers.

Beth Chrisman
In the past two decades, Beth Chrisman has become one of Austin's most versatile and sought-after musicians, bringing the high-lonesome sound of her Kentucky roots and the warmth of Fairbanks, Alaska's tight-knit music community to Texas honky-tonk. Currently fronting Missy Beth and the Morning Afters and performing as one half of acoustic duo Lost Patterns with songwriter Silas Lowe, she continues to shape the city's country music scene.

Her fiddle and harmony vocals have become fixtures in Texas music, most notably in her work with Brennen Leigh, James Hand, and retro country trio the Carper Family. With the Carper Family, she performed on Mountain Stage and A Prairie Home Companion, played festivals across the US and internationally, and earned Independent Music Awards for her songwriting — "Cold, Dark & Lonely" for Best Americana Song and "Foolish Ramblin' Man" for Best Country Song.

Hugo & Biko is an Americana duo from Haarlem.
