Filipino Queer Film Fest: R<EVOL>UTION

Balik/bayan, Pinay sa Holland GABRIELA, and Maya Solidarity invite you to the second event of our Filipino Queer Film Fest: R<EVOL>UTION, which will this time be hosted in Rotterdam! We are excited to announce that this edition will be screening the short films Padayon, a film by Savannah Garcia and Irish Inocento, and Ulit (2018) directed by Gio Potes.

In a world where we are facing a crisis of violations of international humanitarian law, it is important for us to highlight the forms of resistance and revolution taken in the Philippines against US imperialism and our smaller oppressors of local government on ground. In this way, this event also commemorates the Martial Law period and Marcos Sr. administration of the Philippines through our film selection and small discussion after the screenings.

This is a free event, with food being offered on a donation basis. Please help us know how much to prepare by filling in our event registration form!
