Fundraiser for Lebanon

Fundraiser for Lebanon

We warmly invite you to a movie screening, dinner and fundraiser for Lebanon on Saturday the 16th of May, at Moezeum.

During this evening, we will screen the movie "Wild Flowers: Women of South-Lebanon", a movie highlighting the resistance of the women of South Lebanon to zionist invasion and occupation of their land. After the movie, we will discuss how the resistance in Lebanon is shaped by this history, continues to develop to this day and what the current situation looks like in Lebanon. We will also listen to contributions by organizers on the ground.

The zionist entity has been a blight on the Lebanese soil, and has been unleashing its barbarity on the peoples of Lebanon for decades. It's important that we not educate ourselves on the history of resistance and struggle against this presence, and show material solidarity.

Therefore we will raise funds for mutual aid initiatives in Lebanon. Especially for the proud and steadfast South, and Beirut's southern suburbs, that have been facing the brunt of the violence, destruction, and occupation efforts. In this way we hope to contribute to the provision of essential aid to displaced people in Lebanon.

Lastly, there will be delicious food, educational zines and art works by Lebanese artists. We purposefully extended the event starting at 17:00 so if you would like to come by and have dinner and/or make a donation but do not have time to stay the whole evening, that is also possible!

We hope to see you there!
