Workshop: Create and wear your own silly characters!
When was the last time you created something just for the joy of it, without overthinking, without judgment?
In this playful workshop, Joy from @Re_inventades invites you to reconnect with your inner child, let go of perfectionism and reconnect with a freer, more intuitive way of creating, one that’s closer to how we drew as children: expressive, imperfect, and full of imagination. We’ll start by coming together in a group session to remember and talk about our favourite childhood TV characters, how they looked, what made them special, and why they stuck with us. Together, we’ll deconstruct and reimagine them in unexpected ways, finding inspiration in each other.
After that, we’ll shift into an individual flow, where you’ll create your own new, non-existing silly characters, something playful and intentionally imperfect. This character will then come to life as you paint it onto your clothes using complementary colours.
No artistic experience is needed! It’s a crafty afternoon about expression and enjoying the process. Come join us to connect with others, experiment, make “mistakes” and turn those into fun characters! The idea is that your clothes become a reflection of your imagination.
Bring some clothes to transform, and give yourself permission to create freely, just like we did as children.
All materials will be provided, but if you also have some acrylic paint at home, please bring it on! :)
Attendants are asked to follow our code of conduct.
